This Privacy Policy describes how Fêtewell (“Fêtewell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit fetewell.com, tour or book one of our venues, contact us, or otherwise interact with our business. The fetewell.com website and the Fêtewell brand are operated by Dear Properties LLC.

About Fêtewell venues and franchisees: Some venues featured on fetewell.com are operated by independent franchisees licensed to use the Fêtewell brand. This Privacy Policy describes the data practices of Dear Properties LLC for the fetewell.com website and for the venues that Dear Properties LLC or its affiliates directly operate. When you submit an inquiry or tour request through fetewell.com for a franchisee-operated venue, your information is forwarded directly to that franchisee, who controls and processes your data under their own systems and privacy practices. For information about how a specific franchisee handles your data, please contact that venue directly.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us, information collected automatically when you use our site, and information from third parties.

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Event date, event type, guest count, budget range, venue preference
  • Information shared during tours, calls, texts, and consultations
  • Payment and billing information when you book (processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)
  • Information you submit through forms, surveys, or reviews

Information collected automatically when you visit fetewell.com:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring URL, time spent on pages
  • Approximate location based on IP
  • Cookie and similar tracking identifiers (see Section 5)

Information from third parties:

  • Lead data from advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads lead forms) when you submit your information through an ad
  • Information from event planners, vendors, or referrals who connect us with you

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to tour requests, inquiries, and bookings
  • Send appointment confirmations, follow-ups, contracts, and event-day logistics
  • Send marketing emails about availability, pricing, promotions, and venue updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Send text messages where you have opted in (see Section 4)
  • Process payments and manage contracts
  • Measure the performance of our website and advertising
  • Improve our services, content, and customer experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

Service providers who help us run the business, including:

  • Airtable (customer relationship management)
  • Zapier (workflow automation between our systems)
  • Google Workspace / Gmail (sends nurture, follow-up, and transactional emails)
  • Our payment processor (handles deposits and final payments)
  • Our website host and analytics providers
  • Our SMS provider (sends text messages where you have opted in)
  • Insurance, accounting, and legal professionals as needed

Advertising partners, specifically Google Ads and Google Analytics, which use cookies and similar technologies to measure ad performance and website traffic. See Section 5 for opt-out options.

Preferred vendors (catering, photography, planning, etc.) when you specifically ask us to make an introduction or share your information with them.

Legal and safety reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fêtewell, our clients, or others.

Business transfers: if Fêtewell is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Text Messages (SMS)

If you book a tour through our scheduling tool (Calendly), you may receive automated appointment confirmations and reminders by text and email. These are transactional messages tied to your specific booking and are sent through Calendly under its own terms.

Outside of automated booking reminders, we do not send unsolicited marketing text messages. We may exchange texts with you if you contact us by phone, reply to a team member directly, or otherwise start a text conversation with us about your event.

  • Standard message and data rates may apply based on your wireless plan.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out of any text communications from us.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising.

We use:

  • Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information including IP address, device, and pages visited. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You can manage ad personalization in your Google Ads Settings.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the site works for you.

We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

6. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

In general:

  • Active leads and inquiries: retained while you are considering booking and for up to 3 years after last contact, so we can recognize you if you return.
  • Booked clients: retained for the duration of the contract and for at least 7 years after the event for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
  • Marketing email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, after which we retain only the minimum information needed to honor your opt-out.
  • Analytics data: retained according to our analytics provider’s default settings.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share
  • Right to access a copy of your personal information
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Right to opt out of marketing emails and texts at any time
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

For California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

  • Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (event details, booking history), internet activity (browsing on our site), geolocation (approximate, from IP), and inferences drawn from this information.
  • Sources: directly from you, automatically from your device, and from advertising platforms.
  • Business purposes: as described in Section 2.
  • Categories of third parties: service providers, advertising partners, preferred vendors (only at your request), and legal/professional advisors.
  • We do not sell personal information for money.
  • We do share limited information (cookie identifiers, IP address, browsing activity) with Google for analytics and advertising, which may qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, adjust cookie settings in your browser, use the Google opt-out tools linked in Section 5, or email [email protected] with the subject line “Do Not Share My Personal Information.”
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined under CPRA.
  • Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written authorization.

8. Children’s Privacy

Fêtewell’s website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

Our website may link to or embed content from third-party sites (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, vendor sites, etc.). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Review their policies before sharing information with them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top and, where required by law, provide additional notice (such as an email or homepage notice). Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
